Third and last of the Work series, this piece was unintentionally produced along a three-year
period of working as an artist and muralist. Drop cloths are a tool that become a recording
device while performing their intended purpose; like a journal, their color language reminds
their owners of particular times, places and people. Generated in the absence of purpose, once
discovered and mounted on a stretcher it questions ideas of made and found art objects while
playing with notions of abstract vs realistic painting.
